What's for Dinner?
Let's Have a Cookout! By Allison Huller McAlister
Overall:

Ingredients:
2 (28-ounce) cans pork and beans
Worcestershire sauce
1 cup hickory smoke flavored barbecue sauce
1/2 -2/3 cup Heinz ketchup
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
4-5 slices uncooked bacon
Pour beans into a 3-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce in a zigzag pattern over top of the beans. Add in barbecue sauce, ketchup, green pepper and onion; mix well. Place bacon slices over top of the bean mixture. Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes. Remove bacon slices. Bake for an additional five minutes. Let cool and serve.
Mac's Roasted Corn With Herb Butter
Adapted from a recipe he'd found on the Internet, my husband first made these flavorful ears of corn a few years ago. Since the grilling season is officially under way, this tasty corn is a super accompaniment to just about any grilled main dish. It's convenient when you can use the grill for side dishes, too.
