"There is some hopeful information coming from the researchers on choline supplements," McKinney says. "However, we don't like to use the word 'treatment'. We as families of individuals with FASD like to use the word 'maintenance'. There is no cure for the brain damage our kids have suffered, and we have come to realize that. However, with the support services in place they can be functioning members of society and be happy and healthy. That is our hope for their future."
