Substitution Chart
Garlic: 1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder equals 1 clove of minced garlic
Gingerroot: 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger equals 1 teaspoon grated gingerroot
Half-and-half: 1 cup of evaporated milk equals 1 cup of half-and-half
Honey: 1 1/4 cups of sugar mixed with 1/4 cup of water will equal 1 cup of honey
Italian Herb Seasoning: Combine 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/4 teaspoon dried basil and 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme to equal 1 teaspoon
Ketchup: 1/2 cup of tomato sauce mixed with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon vinegar equals 1/2 cup of ketchup
Lemon: 3 tablespoons of bottled lemon juice equals one medium lemon
Marshmallows: 10 large marshmallows equals 1 cup of miniature marshmallows
Marshmallow Cr笥: 16 ounces of marshmallows melted with 1/4 cup of corn syrup
Mayonnaise: Equal amounts of yogurt can be substituted in most recipes
Molasses: 1 cup of honey can be substituted for 1 cup of molasses
Onions: 1 teaspoon of onion powder or 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes equals one medium onion
Parmesan Cheese: Equal parts of grated Romano cheese
Plain Yogurt: 1 cup of buttermilk or 1 cup of sour cream equals 1 cup of plain yogurt
Poultry Seasoning: 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme mixed with 3/4 teaspoon of sage equals 1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning
Pumpkin Pie Spice: Mix 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger and 1/8 teaspoon of allspice to equal 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
