Although sushi-grade fish has been frozen to kill any potential parasites, there is still concern that the uncooked fish may contain harmful bacteria and viruses, Brennan says. "Also, fish typically used in sushi like Ahi tuna are higher in mercury content," she says.
Phelan is a sushi eater, but has made adjustments while she is pregnant. "Prior to pregnancy, we would eat sushi weekly, but [I] have modified my sushi diet to all vegetable rolls, udon soups and plenty of edamame," she says.

Dietary Cautions While Pregnant by Tiffany on 07/01/2009 01:32AM
OMG. Thank you so much for this article. I had no idea that homemade caesar dressing was bad while pregnant. I've been craving salt and caesar salad, and have been making my dressing recipe. Will stop and eat it with another dressing going forward. Hopefully this craving will pass soon. Appreciate the advice. Great website!!! I'm due in November!!
