Is it safe to eat carob chips instead of chocolate?
It might surprise you to learn that ounce per ounce, carob chips are higher in calories and fat than semisweet chocolate chips. And while chocolate does contain some caffeine, the amount is negligible. So if it's chocolate that you crave, go ahead and indulge a small daily serving won't hurt you or your baby.
