How much is too much dairy products? I drink at least four glasses of milk a day, plus cheese and anything that contains dairy. It's like I can't have enough. Should I limit the quantities or is it OK to take as much as I like?
Sounds like you are having a good old food craving!!! I definitely think there are worse things you could be pigging out on! At least this is a nutrient dense group. The recommended servings per day are three, with the RDA for calcium being 1200 mg per day. I think you just have to be conscious of extra fat that could add unnecessary pounds. Four glasses of skim milk-depending on how big-say 8 ounces, I don't think is a problem. Choose low fat cheeses and other low fat dairy products. Yogurt and cottage cheese are also good sources of protein, and if you add fresh fruit you will be adding flavor and lots of vitamins and minerals. So, when you consider that you could be inhaling every piece of chocolate in the vacinity-I think dairy products are a more nutritious alternative."
