Expert Q&A

Should I be concerned about the artificial colorings and additives in my prenatal vitamins?

The artificial colorings and additives in medications are all food grade. There are a few people who have allergies to some of them and need to avoid them. For the majority of the population, the colorings and additives are not a problem. If you are concerned about colorings in your prenatal vitamins or have an allergy, many are made without dyes, and you can ask your physician for a prescription or samples of a dye-free vitamin.
