Can women who are anorexic, have horrible eating disorders and irregular periods still become pregnant?
While women who are anorexic and have irregular periods can become pregnant (I have clients with anorexia who
are extremely underweight who have managed to bring their pregnancies to term), it is often the case that the babies have health challenges as a result of the substandard nutritional
condition of the mother.
So, while anorexic women can and do become pregnant, I would encourage a look at the mother's own health before embarking on a lifelong commitment to the care of another."
