When is it appropriate to serve juice to a baby?
Around six to eight months is the right time to introduce juice, but not citrus, which may irritate. Always
serve 100% fruit juice to children to insure the best nutrition.
Citrus juices and tomato juice are OK at eight months and older. About 4 ounces a day is appropriate, because we don't want juice to displace breast milk or formula, which have more of the nutrients baby needs during the critical first year.
