Basil-Parmesan Stuffed Baked Brie
Ingredients
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
1 round Brie cheese
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
Crackers
Directions
Cut the round of Brie in half horizontally. Set aside.
Combine the parmesan cheese and basil. Spread on one of the Brie layers. Top with the remaining layer.
Roll the puff pastry dough out on a floured surface. Cut out two circles about 2 inches bigger than the Brie. Place the cheese on top of one of the sheets. Top with the other circle of dough. Press the sides together to seal, using water to moisten edges.
Bake at 400 degrees F about 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool about 30 minutes before serving with crackers.
Suggestions
If you don't like basil, use your favorite herb! Rosemary, thyme, oregano or cilantro work well.
