Bacon-Wrapped Water Chestnuts
Simple, but so delicious!
Ingredients
1 pound bacon, preferably thick cut
1 can (8 ounces) whole water chestnuts
Directions
Slice the bacon in half. Wrap one piece of bacon around each water chestnut. Thread on toothpicks and place on a broiler pan. Broil, turning frequently, until bacon is crisp. Serve.
Suggestions
Variation: Combine 3/4 cup ketchup and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Dip each bacon-wrapped water chestnut in the sauce before broiling. They can also be placed in a 13x9-inch baking pan and baked until bacon is crisp, about 20 minutes.
