Cocktail Wieners
Allison Huller McAlister
I first tasted these yummy wienies at a holiday party hosted by one of my sisters many, many years ago. Though you might think that mustard and currant jelly couldn't possibly make for a tasty sauce, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Ingredients
1 package (1 pound) cocktail wieners or 1 pound hot dogs, sliced diagonally into bite-sized pieces
1 jar (6 ounces) prepared mustard
1 jar (10 ounces) red currant jelly
Directions
Combine mustard and jelly in saucepan. Add cocktail wieners or hot dog slices. Simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes or until heated through.
Suggestions
If you prefer, you can use the Crock Pot to prepare this dish. Simply set on low heat, and the wieners can simmer for hours.
