Mexican Stuffed Wontons
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
4 ounces chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 to 3 green onions, chopped
1 package (16 ounces) wonton wrappers
Oil for frying
Directions
Combine the cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, jalapenos, garlic and green onions. Mix well. Place about 1 teaspoon of filling on each wonton wrapper. Fold to make a triangle and seal edges with a fork.
Heat oil in a large skillet (add enough oil so wontons will float). Cook wontons, turning constantly, until browned. Drain on paper towels. Serve.
Suggestions
Serve with salsa for dipping.
