Smoked Oysters Wrapped in Bacon
Allison H. McAlister
Oysters have long been considered a great aphrodisiac, so what better way to start off your romantic dinner for two than with this classic love food. These tasty little morsels, cooked in oil and garlic and surrounded by crispy bacon, make a wonderful Valentine's Day appetizer.
Ingredients
2 cans smoked oysters
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 pound bacon
3 tablespoons minced garlic
Directions
Cut bacon strips in thirds. Wrap a bacon slice around each oyster, and place a toothpick through to hold it in place. Set aside.
In a medium skillet, heat oil and garlic. Cook wrapped oysters in oil until bacon is crisp. Remove from pan, and place on a paper towel to drain.
