Banana Bread
Taryn Mclean-Misajlovski
My mother-in-law passed this recipe on to me when I got married. I make it fairly often, as I get many requests from family and friends.
Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 bananas
4 eggs
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Powdered sugar, if desired
Directions
In a large bowl, beat margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Mash bananas and add to the sugar and egg mixture.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients a little at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla. Pour mixture in a lightly-greased pan coated with flour.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and dust with powdered sugar.
