Gramma's Garlic Bread
Bill Strong
Ingredients
French or sourdough baguette (your choice)
Butter, softened (1 to 1 1/2 sticks)
Shredded parmesan cheese (approximately 4 cups)
Garlic powder
Cracked black pepper
Sea salt
Basil or oregano flakes
Paprika powder
Directions
Preheat the oven to broil (high). Cut baguette in half so you have two long pieces and place two long pieces on a baking sheet or foil. Spread the softened butter liberally across each half. Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese liberally across each half. Layer garlic powder, cracked black pepper, sea salt and basil or oregano across each half to your liking. Sprinkle paprika powder across each half.
Place in the preheated oven and broil until butter/parmesan cheese is browning and bubbling and edges of the baguette are turning brown/black (approximately four to five minutes). Remove from oven, allow to cool, slice and enjoy!
