2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese, grated 1 package (6.5 ounces) pizza crust mix 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/2 cup hot water All-purpose flour 1 garlic clove 1 can (8 ounces) pizza sauce |
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine the grated Parmesan, pizza crust mix and oregano. Add the hot water and stir to moisten. Continue to stir vigorously about 25 strokes. Cover bowl and let it stand in a warm place for five minutes. Sprinkle small amount of flour on cutting board. Place the dough on board and knead 10 to 12 times. Divide dough into eight equal pieces using pizza cutter. Using hands, roll each piece into a 10-inch rope. Shape rope into desired shapes (pumpkins, fall leaves, etc.) on a greased cookie sheet. Using garlic press, press garlic over softened butter and mix with spoon. Spread butter mixture over dough shapes. Bake 11 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Pour pizza sauce in microwave safe bowl and cover. Microwave on high one to two minutes or until warm. Serve warm bread sticks with pizza sauce for dipping. |
