| Cheesy Bacon Quiche |
| 1 1/4 cups biscuit and pancake baking mix 1/4 cup margarine, softened 2 tablespoons boiling water 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese 1 package (6 ounces) sliced Canadian bacon, sliced 1 bunch green onions, sliced 1 1/2 cups half-and-half 3 eggs Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional |
| Grease a pie plate. Set aside. Combine biscuit mix and margarine. Add the boiling water and stir until a dough forms. Press into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie plate. Sprinkle the cheese, Canadian bacon and onions over the crust. In a bowl, combine the half-and-half and eggs. Season with salt, pepper and cayenne. Pour into crust. Bake at 375 degrees F about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let it stand about 10 minutes before cutting. |
