Cream Cheese Spritz Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Dash of salt
Directions
Cream the butter and cream cheese together. Gradually add in sugar and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. In another bowl combine the flour and salt. Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture. Shape the dough into a ball and chill.
Using a cookie press, form the cookies about 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugar, then bake at 400 degrees F for eight to 10 minutes. Cool. Makes about 4 dozen.
