Homemade Oreo Cookies

Ingredients
2 (2-layer) packages devil's food cake mix
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups shortening
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine cake mixes and eggs in large bowl; mix well with fork. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for nine minutes or until tops are cracked. Cool completely.
Combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in mixer bowl and beat together. Spread between two cookies.
