| 1 pound ground beef 1 small onion, chopped 2 tablespoons garlic powder 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans 2 carrots, chopped 2 ribs celery, chopped 1/4 cup uncooked white rice 2 cans (15 ounces each) stewed tomatoes 3 1/2 cups water 1/4 cup fresh, chopped parsley 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon fresh, chopped basil Black pepper, to taste |
| Brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic
powder. Drain off any fat and pour into a Crock Pot. Add the remaining
ingredients. Cover and cook on high for six to eight hours. |
