| Pear Nectar Cake |
| A moist cake that you cook in the Crock Pot! |
| 1 cup flour 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoons cooking oil 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted 1/4 cup dried pears or apples 1 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup water 1 cup pear nectar 3 tablespoons margarine or butter Dash of ground ginger Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream |
| Combine the flour, granulated sugar,
baking powder and cinnamon in a bowl. Add the milk and oil, and then stir to
combine. Fold in nuts and dried fruit. Spread this mixture into the bottom of a
4-quart Crock Pot. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, water, nectar, margarine and dash of ginger. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Pour evenly over the cake batter. Cover and cook on high for two to two and a half hours. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes more. |
