Apple Pie
Stephanie and Julie Keywell
Ingredients
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon lemon rind
7 cups apples (tart apples)
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Spoon into a frozen pie crust. Dot with butter. Top with other frozen pie crust. Bake at 425 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes.
Suggestions
Alternative topping idea: Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cut in 1 cup flour to make crumbs. Sprinkle over pie.
