| 3/4 to 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon lemon rind 7 cups apples (tart apples) |
| Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Spoon into a frozen pie crust. Dot with butter. Top with other frozen pie crust. Bake at 425 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes. | ||
| Alternative topping idea: Cream together
½ cup butter and ½ cup brown sugar. Cut in 1 cup flour to make
