| 4 medium apples ¼ teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 cup shortening 1 egg ½ teaspoon vanilla 2 teaspoon baking powder ½ cup rolled oats ½ cup white sugar ½ cup brown sugar ½ cup flour 2/3 cup milk |
| Peel core and cut apples in eight pieces.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Pour into a baking dish. Cream shortening, brown sugar and egg together. Add vanilla. Beat well. Mix dry ingredients. Add to shortening mixture alternately with milk. Pour over apples. Bake 40 minutes in 350 degree F oven. |
