| Applesauce Cobbler Cake |
| This simple dessert starts with canned biscuit dough. |
| Cake: 1 tablespoon margarine, softened 4 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup applesauce 2 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 can (17 ounces) jumbo biscuits Topping: 1 1/2 cups applesauce ½ cup maple-flavored syrup |
| Butter a 9-inch square baking pan. Set
aside. Combine the topping ingredients in a saucepan. Cook until heated through. Set aside. Combine all the cake ingredients except the biscuits and pecans. Mix well. Separate the biscuits, and then cut each into eight pieces. Place in the bottom of pan. Sprinkle with the chopped pecans. Pour the applesauce mixture over the top. Bake at 350 degrees F 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and let cool in pan about 5 minutes. |

the topping on top, and a dollop of whipped cream. |
