| Black Forest Trifle by Sharon Cardiff |
| 1 cup graham-cracker crumbs 1/2 cup wheat germ 1/4 cup melted butter 1 sponge cake 1 package of instant pudding (chocolate or whatever flavor you want) 1 can of blueberry or raspberry pie filler (or fresh blueberries or raspberries) 1 package of instant pudding (white/vanilla) 1 tub of Cool Whip Lite. |
| Mix Graham-cracker crumbs, wheat germ,
melted butter -- mix together until solid and place in a pie plate in the oven
at 325 degrees F for approximately 10 minutes. Let cool. Place graham cracker
mixture into a bowl, preferably a glass bowl. Cut sponge cake in half and break into small pieces. Place half of the pieces in the bowl on top of the graham cracker layer. Spread half of the fruit pie filling on top of the sponge cake. Prepare the pudding following package instructions. Layer one flavor of pudding over the fruit. Repeat layers of sponge cake, fruit and the other pudding flavor. Top with Cool Whip. Chill and serve. |
