| Carob Chip Cookies by T. Anderson |
| This is a great comfort cookie served with hot chocolate – maybe
after skating or sledding!! Also great as a bedtime snack. |
| 2 1/2 cups unbleached flour* 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup butter* 1 1/2 cups raw sugar 2 eggs (extra large) 2 cups carob chips (or chocolate chips) 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional |
| Cream butter, eggs and sugar together. Add
the flour and mix well. Add vanilla and chips. Drop by spoonful onto ungreased
cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. |
||
| * If you use margarine, it seems to make
the dough very soft and does not work well. * Regular flour may be used but unbleached works better. |
