| 2 cups chocolate morsels, divided 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce 2 tablespoons margarine 3 egg whites 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/3 cup chopped nuts |
| Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In large
saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup of the morsels, sugar, applesauce and
margarine, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. Add the egg whites; stir
well. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Stir in remaining morsels
and nuts. Spread into greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 16 to 20 minutes or
just until set. Cool completely. Cut into 2-inch squares and serve. |
