| A cookie for cinnamon lovers! |
| 2 ¾ cups flour 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup shortening 1 ½ cups sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla |
| Combine the flour, cream of tartar,
cinnamon, salt and baking soda in a bowl. In another bowl, cream together the
shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed
until completely incorporated. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour. When ready to bake, roll the dough into balls, then roll in a mixture of ¼ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Place on cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees F for 9 to 11 minutes. |
