| Tangy apples baked in a pie shell and sweetened naturally with apple
juice. |
| 2 tablespoons flour 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 4 cups apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1 small can frozen naturally-sweetened apple juice 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 package pie crusts for two-crust pie |
| Combine the flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in
a large mixing bowl. Add the apples, apple juice and vanilla; stir to coat the
apples. Pour the apple mixture into the crust and top with the second piecrust.
Seal and flute the edges with a fork, then cut two or three slits in the top.
Bake at 375 degrees F for about 45 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting. |
