Pluckn' Bread
Rob Mutzl
This is a recipe that iParenting Dad of the Month Rob Mutzl's family has been making since he was a child and he still makes frequently. He admits that there's nothing healthful or nutritious about it, but it's something that kids can help make – and it's fun for a family to gather around a table and eat on a cold morning.
Ingredients
3 packages crescent rolls
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Chopped nuts, optional
Directions
Roll out large crescent sheet and divide equally (keeping rectangular shape) into two smaller sheets. Reroll each smaller sheet tightly. Cut each smaller roll into four equal pieces (each original crescent package will generate 16 pieces).
Melt butter and add cinnamon and sugar to it. Generously coat individually cut rolls with mixture and place in an ungreased tube or bundt pan with sides of rolls touching. Repeat layer, pour remaining mixture over all.
Bake 350 degrees F for approximately 40 minutes. Dump cake immediately. Pluck.
