| 1 9-inch pie crust 1 cup light corn syrup 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar 3 eggs 1/3 cup melted butter or canola oil 1/3 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 heaping cups broken pecans |
| Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into pie
crust. Decorate the top with additional pecan halves in a design of your
choice. Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour and 15 minutes. Put aluminum foil on top of pie for the last 30 minutes to be sure center is done. Be sure to check on baking progress after one hour. |
