Pumpkin Pie
A Thanksgiving tradition
Ingredients
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
1 can (16 ounces) pumpkin
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Pour into the pie shell and bake in a preheated 425 degree F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and continue baking another 30 to 35 minutes, or until set. Cool, then put in the refrigerator to chill.
Suggestions
Serve with a generous scoop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon on top.
