| Strawberry Cream Cheese Cookies by Donna Smith |
| 1 cup butter, at room temperture 1 cup sugar 1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 egg yolk, at room temperature 2 ½ cups flour Strawberry preserves |
| Cream together the butter, sugar and cream
cheese. Add the vanilla and egg yolk and mix well. Blend in the flour, then
chill the dough for about 1 hour. Shape into one-inch balls, and using your
thumb, press a hole into the center of each cookie. Fill the hole with about
¼ teaspoon of the strawberry preserves. Bake at 350 degrees F for about
10 to 11 minutes. Remove from the cookie sheet when done and let them
completely cool. |
