Gourmet Hamburgers or Meatloaf
by Rhoda Flaxman

Total time = 30 minutes
Prep time = 10 minutes + Cooking time = 20 minutes
Kids love hamburgers, so why not dress them up and call them "gourmet?" You can make patties or a meatloaf.

2 lbs. ground meat (beef, turkey or chicken)
1 egg
1 c. bread crumbs
4 Tbl. ketchup
2 Tbl. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. oregano
1 Tbl. parsley
½ tsp. marjoram
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
Optional: buns or English muffins

directions
In a big bowl, mix hamburger with egg, bread crumbs, catsup, Dijon mustard, oregano, parsley, marjoram, and grated cheddar cheese. Make into patties and fry in frying pan or grill. Make sure to cook thoroughly. Serve with Sweet Potato Fries.

suggestions
For a neater but slower preparation, prepare a meatloaf by placing mixture into a baking dish, covering with tinfoil and baking at 375 degrees until it becomes firm and pulls away from the side of the dish (with an internal temperature of 160 degrees).
