Beef and Pea Chinese

This recipe was a runner-up in the Quick and Easy Recipe Contest!

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 cup frozen peas
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
Black pepper, to taste

Directions

Heat the oil in a skillet. Add the garlic, ground beef/turkey and pepper to taste. When meat is browned, add the peas, oyster sauce and soy sauce. Cover and let simmer for five to eight minutes.

Serve over cooked white rice.

Suggestions

Variation: Add 1/2 cup of sliced onion along with the ground beef.
