Cranberry Sauced Meatballs
Ingredients
Meatballs:
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
3/4 cup tomato juice
1/4 cup finely diced onion
2 slices white bread
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sauce:
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup brown sugar
Directions
Combine all the ingredients for the meatballs. Mix well. Form into small meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees F on a cookie sheet about 20 minutes, turning once, until cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, combine the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat until melted and combined. Add the cooked meatballs and stir to coat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook about 20 minutes.
