Creole Strip Steaks
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless round steak
1 onion, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 small bell pepper, chopped
1 package (10 ounces) frozen okra, thawed
1 package (8 ounces) fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup V-8 juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Cut the steak into strips, then season with salt and pepper. Place in a Crock Pot. Add the onion, celery, green pepper, mushrooms, V-8 juice, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Cover and cook on low for six to eight hours. About 45 minutes before serving, add the okra. Stir and serve.
Suggestions
Serve with white rice.
