This is a delicious and filling side dish, or a meal in itself. It's a variation of sesame noodles, a popular chinese dish.

Sauce:
4 garlic cloves, chopped or pressed
3 Tbl. tahini or Chinese sesame paste
1 Tbl. peanut butter
2 Tbl. sesame oil
5 Tbl. soy sauce or tamari
4 Tbl. rice wine
3 Tbl. rice (or regular) vinegar
2 Tbl. plus 2 tsp. honey
1/2 - 1 tsp. chili paste (optional)
Pinch of five spice powder (optional)

Noodles:
1 pkg. (16 oz.) any kind of pasta

Mix-ins:
Box of frozen peas (prepared as directed)
Choose one of the following: broccoli, steamed and chopped tofu,
diced and sauteed for a few minutes

Toppings:
Sesame seeds, toasted lightly in toaster oven
1 or 2 scallions, chopped finely on the diagonal

directions
Puree sauce ingredients in a blender or food processor. Cook noodles and drain. Add mix-ins, pour sauce over noodles and stir. Sprinkle on toppings.

suggestions
Set aside some food for you and for your child as leftovers, otherwise you'll be eating all of it. Serve warm or at room temperature a vegetable stir-fry, Broiled Salmon, Asian-style asparagus, or a Mix 'n' Match Salad.
