Chicken Alfredo Pizza
Donna Smith
A family favorite!
Ingredients
1 tube refrigerated pizza crust
1 or 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup flour
Olive oil
5 to 6 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup of jarred Alfredo sauce
1 8-ounce bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Unroll pizza dough onto a metal pizza pan or pizza stone. Press out to cover the whole pan. Bake at 425 degrees F for about seven minutes, or until lightly browned.
While the dough is cooking, coat the chicken with the flour. Heat some olive oil up in a skillet and cook chicken until done and browned on both sides. About two minutes before the chicken is done, add half the garlic to the pan and cook along with the chicken. Remove and shred or cut into small pieces.
Spread the Alfredo sauce on the pizza crust. Top with the chicken, sprinkle with the remaining minced garlic, then top with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle top with green onions. Bake about seven to eight minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.Suggestions
Leave the chicken off for a great vegetarian pizza. Chopped fresh spinach is also a great addition to this pizza.
