Cheeseburger Joes
Donna Smith
Ground beef and cheese combine to make a delicious sandwich filling perfect for a quick family meal.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/3 cup chopped bell pepper
1 small onion, chopped
3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
10 ounces processed American cheese, cubed
1 tablespoon milk
Black pepper, to taste
Kaiser rolls
Directions
Cook the ground beef together with the bell pepper, onion and garlic. Season with lots of black pepper. Add the cheese and milk. Cook on low heat until cheese is completely melted, stirring often.
To serve, spoon the cheeseburger mixture onto the Kaiser rolls.
Suggestions
Serve with a crisp salad and potato chips or french fries for a quick meal! These can also be made in the Crock Pot. Simply brown the ground beef and add all the ingredients to the Crock Pot (increase the milk to 2 tablespoons). Cook on low heat six to eight hours.
