Creamed Corn with Bacon


Ingredients

3 slices bacon
3 large ears of corn, kernels cut off
3 tablespoons margarine
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Fry the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.

Pour off all but 1 tablespoon of bacon fat. Add the fresh corn, and cook until lightly browned. Add the margarine and flour; cook one minute. Gradually stir in the milk. Bring to boil, reduce heat and cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in bacon and season with salt and pepper. Serve.
