Creamed Peas


Ingredients

2 cups frozen green peas
2/3 cup water
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Combine peas, water, salt, pepper and butter in a saucepan. Bring to boil.

In another bowl, combine the flour, cream and sugar. Stir into peas. Cook until thick and bubbly, about four to five minutes.

Suggestions

Mushrooms would make a great addition to this dish! Just add one can whole mushroom, drained.
