Spirited Rumake
Ingredients
1/2 pound chicken livers
1/2 pound bacon
1 small can whole water chestnuts, drained
1/4 cup whiskey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Separate livers. Cut bacon slices in half. Cut chestnuts in half. Combine whiskey, soy sauce and honey. Dip livers in mixtures and coat well. Wrap bacon around a piece of liver and chestnut half, and secure with a toothpick. Place livers on a baking rack that is in a baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes, or until bacon is crisp, turning once.
Suggestions
Keep warm in a chafing dish or Crock Pot. Serve with toothpicks.
