Mushroom and Almond Chop Suey


1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup fresh bean sprouts
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced, fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons soy sauce
½ cup toasted slivered almonds
Cooked white rice
directions
Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet or wok. Add the onion and celery and cook, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes. Add the bean sprouts, mushrooms and garlic, and cook another 5 minutes. Add the soy sauce and almonds. Heat through.


suggestions
Serve with the hot cooked rice and additional soy sauce. Cooked, shredded chicken could also be added.
